A high quality glove with premium materials especially the leather. Just wish it had a large size only versus a large/xlarge.
The shaft has a very good hit, its feedback on the hit is very much pleasing (had to change tip though). Deflection is very low. Absolutely NO issues with the taper.
4 stars for 2 reasons.
1. Bought for the cuetec cue. The diameter at the joint is slighty bigger than the cuetec joint diameter.
2. The default tip was very spongy to me. While a tip is a personal preference. A tip in one cue played different from another brand. Stiffer tip was a better choice to mesh with my playing style and cue composition of how it transfers its energy.
Very good cue surely a recommendation for others to purchase.

Regarding your 2 points:
1. Pristine has a joint outer diameter of 21.4mm. There's no universal standard across cue manufacturers, butt joints can range from 21.3mm on production cues up to 21.5mm on custom cues - we intentionally go in between to fit as broadly as possible. The small difference does not affect play, but if you prefer to have it seamlessly fit, you can bring your cue to a cue repair shop and have the Pristine joint sanded down by a hair to make it perfect
2. I checked our record for the tip that was installed on your shaft. It was an earlier prototype of our own tip. We have since made iterations and improvements to the tip and have finalized on a tip we are happy with to go into product launch later this year. All Pristine shafts we are making now have the finalized tip. When we have our own custom tip (made in Japan) ready for sale, we will ship one to you as a gift :)

I am not shocked at the quality and beauty of this cue. However I am shocked by the value. These cues are absolutely beautiful and then on top of that they include screw in bumpers that accept extensions and joint protectors. The wrap is great and the radial pin is the cherry on top. So impressed.
